Philip Mickelborough set up Kingsbury Hill Fox Limited (KHF) in 2001, after having worked as an independent consultant for the previous five years. It is through KHF that Philip has undertaken his consultancy.
Philip’s other role within KHF is to write an annual market report on integrated housing and care, the 17th edition of which, Extra Care, Assisted Living & Retirement Communities, will be published by KHF in October 2019.
Philip used the knowledge and experience gained from consulting and writing his books to determine the topics and select the speakers for LaingBuisson’s annual conferences on extra care (15 conferences), homecare (14 conferences) and Telecare & Assistive Technology (4 conferences).
Outside KHF Philip has been a non-executive director of Life Opportunities Trust since February 2014.
This is an independent sector care provider with 160 staff providing registered residential care, supported housing and domiciliary care & support to people with learning disabilities in Hillingdon, Hertfordshire and Westminster. He is on the Finance & General Purposes committee.
Immediately before setting up on his own Philip was part of the Leadership Team of the largest UK private pathology laboratory chain, JS Pathology/ Unilabs, with overall responsibility for marketing and sales.
He had moved into health care services when he became a member of the Leadership Team of a division of the Bupa Group, with responsibility for marketing and business development.
Philip’s career started in the medical equipment and medical disposables industry with a subsidiary of British Oxygen (BOC).
